Overview

The APsystems EZ1-M is an 800VA dual-channel microinverter commonly used in EU plug-in / balcony solar kits. It has two independent MPPT inputs, so you can pair it with two solar panels; it converts their DC output to mains-compatible AC.

It is widely available in the EU market and connects directly over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Plug-in use is not confirmed as legal in the UK. It is monitored via the APsystems EMA app.

Reviews & testing

We don't publish user reviews, and we haven't hands-on tested this system for UK use — plug-in solar isn't legal to use here yet, so we can't responsibly review it for that purpose. We won't invent ratings.

When the rules change and we can assess products properly, we'll add independent, evidence-based assessments here. In the meantime, check the manufacturer's documentation and reputable independent reviewers, and see our editorial policy.
