Overview
MyPlugInSolar respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible.
Information we collect
At this foundation stage, the site does not include a database or connected email provider. If you submit an email address through a sign-up form, it is handled in your browser only and is not yet stored or transmitted to us. This will change when launch features go live, and this policy will be updated accordingly.
Cookies and analytics
We keep tracking to a minimum and require your consent before any analytics runs. The site does not set analytics or advertising cookies, and does not load Google Analytics, until you choose “Accept analytics”. Essential functionality works without cookies.
If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 with Google Consent Mode to understand which guides and tools are useful. Analytics storage is only granted after you accept; advertising signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) are always left denied because we don't run ads. IP addresses are anonymised, and we only send privacy-safe events — for example that an estimate was run, never your postcode, email or other personal details.
When enabled, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (typically _ga and _ga_*) to measure visits. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer; rejecting analytics stops further measurement and clears these cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Google processes this data as described in Google's privacy policy.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct or delete it. Once we process personal data, you'll be able to exercise these rights by contacting us.
